The fabled folk singer-songwriter presents a new album of original music, Hill of Beans – his first in nine years.
For this one-off show McTell is joined on stage by friends and special guests as well as The Southbank Sinfonia, performing songs from his 50+ year career in addition to some of his most recent work.
McTell’s exquisite songs and virtuoso guitar picking are brought to life by wry, humorous anecdotes, taking the audience from his early years busking in Paris to concert halls across the globe.
The prolific songwriter made his biggest hit in 1974 with the single ‘Streets of London’, which won him an Ivor Novello Award after selling millions of copies worldwide.
